RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The process by which persons prepare to become full members of the Catholic Church. This program begins each Fall at St. Joseph Church and is open to those who want to deepen their relationship with the Lord and who have not yet celebrated one or more of the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. To participate in RCIA is to make a journey of faith. Part of this journey focuses on the instruction in Catholic teaching. It also includes preparation for celebrating the sacraments of initiation. Finally, RCIA fosters fellowship among its participants, who quickly discover that they are companions traveling the same path toward full communion in the Body of Christ. RCIA meets Wednesday evenings beginning in September and ending in May.

Please contact the parish office at 610-269-8294 for further information.

Classes for adults are held on Wednesay evenings from 7-8:30pm in the Community Meeting Room of the Holy Family Center. Come to a class any Wednesday and see what RCIA is all about. Please contact Kathy Thomas- 610-873-8798.

<St Joseph Church Mission Statement
Motivated by our belief in Jesus Christ and bound together by our Roman Catholic faith, we are a parish that seeks to respond to the Gospel invitation by living as God's people. Baptized into Christ Jesus, confirmed by the gift of the Holy Spirit, and nourished by the Eucharist, we are a community that gives glory to God and proclaims His message of love and salvation.
